Weekly Weigh-In Meme

Welcome to the First Edition of the Weight Loss Meme. This is a group of women (but men are welcome, too) who have decided to get together and help support each other while losing that weight we've been meaning to get off for years. Sometimes you just need a hand to hold or someone to hold you accountable.

Here is the deal, each week when you weigh in you can send in your results to the moderator of the Meme (Leigh) and she will create a post once per week with everyone's results. She will then e-mail the post to everyone who has signed up so they can post it as well. This way we all get support (not to mention added traffic). If you wish to join please leave a comment!

So, without further ado, here is this weeks results!

Chris - 2.0 gain
Tammy- 0 (just started this week! Welcome aboard)
Ciara-Life With Hashi: Thyroid Blog- 2.0 gain
Grace - 0.8 loss
Leigh- 1.0 loss
Clara- 0 (no change from last weigh in)
Dette-0 (new..welcome!)

I think this will be fun for all. I know it's been keeping me on track today. Do you have a special plan for your diet?

Great job ladies. Nice Blog Ciara. I have Hashimoto's Disease too, but so far just have regular, eating too much, weight gain. Supposedly my thyroid function is still "normal", though my hair is falling out in droves. Yuck.

clara-yes, but i think i can do it..and i have all of your guys' support to spur me on :)

eternal flux-definitely

chris-i think slow and steady. my first goal is to get to 210 and hopefully be 20 lbs lighter by the time my girls get back from their dad's in 7 wks.

b boys mom-just lowering calorie intake and exercise. hypothyroids are sposed to go to 1200 cals w no fats, carbs, sugars, soy (almost nothing left to eat lol) AND exercise at least 30 mins a day. i tried doing 1200..almost passed out LOL

sue-i was hoping you had an email address somewhere...if you still don't feel well while on thyroid meds then you aren't at the right amounts or you might need a med change. i take two kinds of thyroid meds...it is also possible to be HYPERthyroid as well as hypo if there is too much thyroid hormone. i actually was just getting too much and my hair started falling out like crazy again. hope you have a doc that treats on symptoms versus tsh results. i research EVERYTHING, because some docs don't know everything LOL
